The Success show is both inspiring and educational as

The main focus of the show is the “how to” aspect

Arizona State Fair |
|
For the first time in 26 years, Terry is NOT doing the Arizona
State Fair.. Because of his rigorous schedule, Terry is sad to
announce that he will be unable to perform at this years Arizona
State Fair. An
effort was made to be there on two of the weekends but the fair
management felt the show should run all 17 days. Working 7
nights a week in Las Vegas made that impossible for Terry. He
will miss all of his friends there this year and is trying to
schedule an “Adult” show on the week end following the fair.. If

Notes from Terry: |

Recently, in an interview, I was asked about my longevity as a
stage hypnotist and entertainer. I gave a comical cute response,
got a laugh and moved on to the next question. |

|
Later, on the flight home, my mind kept going back to that
question. I have outlasted almost everyone in the business. My
show continues to draw capacity crowds and I am as excited about
it today as I was 36 years ago. Why? When others, more talented,
better looking (that’s hard to admit), with more opportunity and
stage presence gave up on becoming successful in this, one of
the most difficult areas of show business, why have I persisted.
Though I have often given credit to my mentor Jack Berry for his
show business advice, it occurred to me that his sage wisdom was
not the total story. His advice was always correct.
Always be original...you can never take pride in someone else’s
creation. Always remember that the people on stage are the
“stars”, you are only the host for their party. Always treat
them with respect
...they are the reason you are
there. Don’t use a script...this always forces you to be
creative...and you will never be bored.
Don’t try to get rid of your butterflies, teach them to fly in
formation...use your stage fright to make you better.
I could do an entire book on the things I learned from Jack. But
what he did not teach me was how to become a success. |

For that lesson, I went to
Glenn W. Turner. I was studying
hypnosis but had no idea how to implement it into my life. I did
not know where to begin. I did Know for sure that I could never
get on stage in front of people and entertain them.
|
|
|
|
|
A friend invited me to go to a business meeting with him...I
wasn't really interested, but he said he would buy drinks
afterwards. FREE DRINKS...I’m in. At this meeting I watched a
film called
“Challenge to America”
featuring a man in a bright
red suit...and furry shoes. This man, an 8th grade dropout with
a harelip said he was a millionaire...and I could be one too. He
said he had more faith in me than I had in myself. I had heard
this hype before...but coming from this man, I believed it. For
35 minutes, I listened to Glenn Turner tell me things I already
knew in my heart but had forgotten. That night, his words
haunted my dreams. The next morning I decided to take his
course. It was called “Dare to be Great”. I knew what I wanted
to do with my life but did not believe it was really possible.
This “Dare To BE Great”, was the turning point in my life. I
discovered that failure was impossible if I did not give up. |

|
Now, 36 years later, as I think back on the roadblocks,
setbacks, personal and business challenges, temporary defeats,
bad shows and how I faced all these challenges, I realize what a
huge debt of gratitude I owe to
Glenn W. Turner and the
philosophy of living I learned from him. |
|
|

This realization
prompted me to seek out Mr. Turner and tell him thanks for a
wonderful life and career. I recently met with him and his
lovely wife, Nancy Ann in Florida. Mr. Turner is as vibrant,
energetic, and warm today at 73 years of age as he was 36 years
ago. |

Once again the man in the red suit has inspired me. I told him
that I want to help people the way he helped millions with his
message of hope. Today we are talking about combining the Dare to
be Great philosophy with hypnosis so people can learn to use the
power of hypnosis to program their own mind for success and
happiness. We have conceived it...we both believe it...we will
achieve it. Watch for
“STEPS TO GREATNESS”.
